The point of a K1(FIANCE VISA) is to MARRY IN THE US.

If you are asking that question, you might want to read up on what you actually filed for!!!!

Entering the U.S. on a K1 if you are married is fraud. If you want to get married in the Philippines, withdraw your petition, get married there, and submit for the CR-1 and optionally the K-3.

You CAN NOT get married while applying for K1.

If you get married, you need to cancel K1 and start apply K3 followed by CR1.

You can have ceremony there though if that's what you mean.

You have to be very careful even with a non legal ceremony.... if the CBP officer at POE thinks it could be a marriage then they can still be denied.... do a serch on here for the topic and you will see it has been well discussed.... including info from an EX CBP officer....

My fiance and I were going to have a pseudo-ceremony in England once we had been married long enough for him to leave the country. It wouldn't be a wedding nor would we get an English marriage certificate; it would merely be a celebration so that his friends and family who couldn't make it to the actual ceremony in the States could join in and celebrate.

I would suggest doing this.

We did this in Canada before I moved down here ... All our event was basically a large barbeque with all of my family and friends (about 100 people) ... It didn't ressemble anything to do with a wedding and it was more a large party ... I just wanted my family and friends to get to know my wife (fiancee then) and we knew we were having a small wedding down here and we didn't want people to have to fly down here for it ...

Very cool...I think that's what we're going to end up doing, too. Food, drinks, family, friends...that's all you really need!
