Oi meninas,

Vou quebrar o gelo e colocar uma receitinha aqui....eu nunca fiz, mas vi no programa da Oprah e a pessoa que inventou ganhou 1 milhão de dólares num concurso de culinária!!!! Pareceu ser muito bom!!! :thumbs:

Granola Pie

Ingredients:

Pillsbury Pie crust, thawed

1 stick butter, melted

1/2 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup corn syrup (tipo Karo)

3 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

2 granola bars (hard kind), cracked

1/4 cup oats

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 F

2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish

3. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, in order.

4. Bake for 45 minutes.

5. On the last 15 minutes cover the border with aluminum foil, so the crust won't burn.

Tem uma cara maravilhosa e parece ser super fácil de fazer!!! Não vejo a hora de poder fazer eu mesma!!! Só faltam 5 semanas!!!

Alix :star:

I'll start out by posting a very simple, yummy salad for those who enjoy japanese food.

Cucumber Kani Salad

4 cucumbers in thin strips (do not use the middle of the cucumber, with the seeds, and do not peel)

4 kani sticks in thin strips

salt to dehydrate the cucumber

1/2 cup vineager

2 tablespoons of sugar

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of soy sauce

Aji no moto to taste

Rub the stripped cucumbers with salt leaving them in the salt for a bit so they dehydrate and wash them next. In a pot add the vineager, sugar, soy sauce, salt and aji no moto, bring to a boil and let it cool down. After it's cooled mix the sauce with the cucumbers and kani sticks.

Simple and yummy!

This one I learned back in college is a very common main dish in Goias and some parts of Minas. In Goias they add Pequi to it, but I think you won't be able to find that in the US.

Galinhada

1 whole chicken chopped into 5-10 cm. pieces - seasoned to taste

3 cups rice, uncooked

2 tbs oil

4-5 cloves garlic finely chopped

1 small onion finely chopped

1 tsp turmeric (falso açafrão - a dark yellow powder)

6 cups boiling water

Heat oil in a very large pan and fry chicken until golden brown. Remove chicken, add garlic and onion to pan with the grease from the chicken still in it, cook until onion is transparent. Add the turmeric to the pan, and the uncooked rice, and stir to mix together and the rice gets a nice yellow color. Put the chicken pieces back into the pan with the rice, add the water to the pan. Put a lid on the pan loosely and cook on low heat until rice is done.

Vinaigrette sauce-

4 tomatoes, diced

1 or 2 onions, diced

salt and pepper to taste

vinegar and olive oil

mix all together and serve with the galinhada.

Yes, I know and I have to agree with you - it's hard to imagine how people eat that - the smell gives me migraines :(

Quem quer Picanha?????????????

EEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

Picanha3.jpg

Saiba como pedir pro açougueiro no supermercado:

The butcher at my locals Sam's club cut Picanha for me. It came out perfect. Here's what they need to know (any butcher should be able to do this for you):

Picanha is the top part of the top sirloin sometimes called cullote or top sirloin fat cap. Each piece weighs about 3 to 4 pounds. Ask your butcher to trim the bottom and leave the fat from the top of the cut.

MAIS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picanha

Eu já fiz esta receita e é muito fácil e deliciosa!

rec_191big.jpg

Petit gâteau do Olivier Anquier

9 unidades

Ingredientes:

• 120 g de chocolate amargo picado

• 100 g de manteiga

• 2 ovos inteiros

• 2 gemas

• 1/4 de xícara (chá) de açúcar

• 2 colheres (sopa) de farinha de trigo

Prepare assim:

• Derreta o chocolate em uma panela em banho-maria e junte a manteiga, mexendo até que fique homogêneo, liso e brilhante;

• Em uma vasilha, bata os ovos, as gemas e o açúcar até que os ingredientes fiquem bem incorporados;

• Retire o chocolate do fogo e despeje aos poucos na vasilha dos ovos misturados. Mexa até que os ingredientes estejam integrados;

• Misture suavemente a farinha de trigo;

• Unte forminhas pequenas, próprias para petit gâteau, com manteiga e farinha e asse em forno pré-aquecido a 250ºC, por cerca de 7 até 10 minutos (teste uma forminha antes, para saber a temperatura correta de seu forno. O petit gateau deve estar consistente por fora e mole por dentro);
