THE LATEST ON US CONSULATE

Friend of mine on CFL had their interview the 10th last week.

They got a blue slip. He told me almost all of the girls that day got blue slips.

Here is what they are doing now they ask you to send them all pictures you can of the child & mother

from birth until present time. which is just a waste of time the same as it was for us after July 30th interview. After you do this they send you a letter to tell you that you have to have a DNA test.

And it has to be a lab on their list in USA. Now here is how it works you contact the lab and pay them $545.00 for the test plus $90.00 fee for Fedex delivery which is only 2 QTIPS when they do get to the embassy they will call you for an apointment to come to the consulate for a DNA sample taking.

Now for them to do this you pay the consulate $14.00 each to stick the QTIP in your mouth and send it back to the lab the lab will send results back to consulate in less than 2 weeks which is another $45.00 for Fedex. So you pay $680.00 just like I did 2 weeks ago. this whole process only adds 4 months to your waiting time again. all the hold up is only the consulate as always.

You know it looks like the consulate could pay 58 cents for 500 QTIPS just like I did here in China yesterday is stead of you paying $90.00 for just 2 of them.

Here is the good part of all this my fiancee's daughter is 18 and in her second year at university and she wants to finish this year before going to America so the embassy is going to give us my fiancee's visa when we go to give dna sample we are going to USA in december and the daughter will get her visa next june.

the 'photo book' of mom and the child has been reported on for some time now.

the dna test is not a new thing at GUZ, either.

But it's great to hear your experiences about it.

I know it's different when you experience it directly, so I'm not knocking yer experience about it at all.

One of the great things about reading, IMO, is learning about the situations that blow a blue slip on interview day, and what to bring in case there's any issue.

China is a high fraud country, where 'the child' seriously might not be 'the mother's ' child at all.

Having a full set of photos at interview day, IMO, is a must.

I wonder how long it'll be until GUZ mandates DNA tests prior to interview day?

The Q-TIPs that you use for DNA testing are produced under clean room environments. It means that all workers handling any part of the process wear special clothing to make sure no stay DNA ends up on the Q-TIP. There are then packaged in a tube that has been also been made under strict conditions. Each of these test sets are given a serial number and tracked where ever they go. These are not the ones you buy at the drug store where the cotton and the sticks and the package have been handled with less care.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

UPDATE

ANOTHER CALL FROM CONSULATE YESTERDAY

They reversed their decision to give my fiancee her visa at dna sample giving appointment.

Because if test comes back bad our K1 CAN BE DETERMINED AS FRAUD.

So now we wait for the full 4 months

did they reverse the decision, really?

or delay the visa ?

they've not said 'denied' yet, right?

I get a sense of fuming.
