Hello

I now have my package ready and was considering mailing it off on Monday June 12th.

Should i wait for the new 1-129F form or just go ahead and mail my package off? I called

the immigration dept and quite frankly the lady i spoke with seems pretty clueless. Waiting for

suggestions. Thanks.

I'm in the same boat, and I'm also going to wait. Another thing that's changed is the functions of the service centers, and some people seem to think that all the I-129Fs are going to go to Vermont and California. I wonder if the new form won't have new filing directions? Just a thought. The draft shows the same old locations though...

Who knows (apparently not anyone in charge)

I am just gonna file as is. Who knows how long they will take to approve the new draft or new procedures? If they require the new form when/if it is approved, they will request the additional information. Payato

I just called the UCIS customer service regarding the same question AGAIN and

the guy strongly advised that I mail the package with the old form and when the new 1-129F

form is ready they will contact me for additional questions....he said it would be foolish

to wait for the new form. Just so you know.

I would go ahead and File. I filed right after the new stuff started happening and even though i sent it to Nebraska they went ahead and sent it to California for me and now i'm in line for the visa. I think its better to at least have it out there then wait while in the mean time other people send theres off and you'll get further and further behind them!!

Just my opinion though

We were married in Washington in August, we submitted our I-485, I130, I765, and I131 in Sept of 06 to the Chicago Lock Box, and got our Green card in January 07!!! Found this was much faster and easier than going through the K1 process.

It would probably be better to wait, because if the new form comes out soon, they'll send the entire package back to you and you'd have to do it all over again, it may inconveience you.

I think you just mail the current ASAP and get in line. If they want you to resubmitt the new form at least your other stuff will already be there ...been there

I kind of doubt they would return the entire package and make them do it over again. More likely, it will be a RFE or a new form to be checked off, signed and mailed back -- just like what we are all now waiting for. Couldn't hurt to get your place in line - it's up to you whether or not you want to get started now or wait it out.

A stupid thought that just passed through my mind that i will throw out. (Hypothetically for me) would it make sense for those not waiting for the new form and going ahead and applying with the old to answer the new questions on the draft version of the 129F in the cover letter. It seems to me that this could give them the information that they would send you an RFE to get?
