Hi to ALL!

Wanted to get some ideas, about the interview question asked for the K1 applicants here in Manila.

My fiance got a noticed that our NOA2 delivered last Dec 2, 2008.

What will be the next step on that?

Thank You in advance!

We went through the interview process in early July. I went in with my filipino beauty. Some of the questions were:

1. How did you both meet?

2. What does your petitioner do for a living?

3. When is his birthday?

4. What kind of work does he do?

5.Who introduced you to each other?

6. Have you bought your ticket?

The next steps after you get your NOA2 are:

1. The Embassy in Manila would receive the package and notify your fiance.

2. Medical at St. Luke

3. Fill out all the forms.

4.Schedule an interview at the US Embassy on Roxas Blved.

(There are some great reasonable Hotels in front of the Embassy on Roxas Blvd)

Good luck.

after you get noa2 the case is forwared to NVC if your K1 or K3 its only there about 2 or 3 days the assign a new case number for Philippines the new case number will be like MNL2008XXXXXXX those x's will be numbers lolz. then the case is shipped via DHL to the manila embassy once at the embassy it takes a week or sometimes 2 weeks to get it entered into there system and they send out a letter saying your ok to set up interview. It all tells you where to download forms you need and what other docutments along with some infromation about medical. i called NVC and got the MNL number and found out when the package was shipped. Two weeks later I called embassy and got interview date, a couple of days after that Radz recieved the letter from embassy saying she can call for interview date. I know this sounds backwards but I didnt wait for her letter to set up interview. Once you set up interview they will send out email verifiying your interview date, ours was sent to Radz and she sent me copy of the email. Good Luck

Hi,

I just want clear it out...do you mean that after you received noa2...you can call NVC in less than a week...get the MNL number if it's already available and you can call in to set up your interview?

Do they only need the MNL number to set up the interview? Also, do you send any paperwork to Manila embassy first before you can set up the interview or you will bring all the required documents on your interview date?

Please advise. Your reply will be very much appreaciated.

Thanks.

you can call NVC and get the MNL number. They can also tell you if your case has been sent out to embassy. In about 10 to 14 days after the documents are sent to embassy you can call and if they have entered your case in there system they will let yoy set a interview date. At least that worked for us. We got the letter saying we can set then interveiw about 3 days after we had gotten the interview date.

Opps i forgot to answer part of your question.

you can fill out the forms 156 156K and 157 which you can get copies of from links on the embassy website.

The 156k is taken to thd bank where you pay the embassy fees and they valiate the form on the back showing you made payment.

Your fiance needs to do the I 134 affidvait of support get in notrized and send it to you with supporting documents

we also included new intent to marry documents.

you dont need to send they forms off, you just take the to the embassy with you during your interview

follow the instructions for the medical which needs to be done a week before interview date at least.

Also you need copies of the 129f and other docuement submitted to USCIS with you evidence of having met pictures airline tickes things like that

You will also need the NBI police clearnce certificate of no marriage or annulment papers and umm wait a sec let me just send a link will be easier lolz.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf

that will save me a lot of more typing and probable be more understandable to you.

Congrats on the NOA2!! I hope I am right behind you!

Make sure you get the I-156, I-156K and I-157 using CURRENT forms. The first time I printed them, I followed links here at VJ only to discover they were expired. Go directly to http://www.state.gov/m/a/dir/forms/

The long wait is almost over. Hang in there!!
