Forgot to say above:

Tax transcripts: Use this form to order 3 years free http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506t.pdf

On item 6, you want to check the box by line a.

The second page gives instructions and also where to send the request depending on your state. I also gives fax numbers for those locations. I faxed my form and had transcripts in the mail within the week. Some people order over the phone. Because transcripts are official from the IRS and verify your W2 info, that covers it all. You can also do a photocopy of your whole return, but you have to include every page and any schedules, and anything sent in with it like W2s or 1099s-- The little paper(s) you have to staple to the front that your employer mails you telling how much you earned for the whole year.

And here's another good piece of info about Equador: http://guayaquil.usconsulate.gov/uploads/i...ems_english.pdf

Thanks Nich-Nick for all of your info

My fiance and I are at the 4 month mark, and about two weeks ago he rec'd his Police Cert, which we were told is valid for 6 months, so as long as we get approved before February (!!!) we should be okay. I was wondering in regards to the IRS tax transcript info for the affadavit of support. I'm sorry if this is redundant, but I don't see where the tax papers are needed if I am not "self-employed"...I got a signed letter on company letterhead in regards to my job, and I plan on sending about four recent pay stubs. Will that be enough for the affadavit? Also, does anyone know the process on getting a statement from the bank in regards to getting your deposit information for the past year? I am one of those online only bankers that never step foot in a bank lol!

Thanks in advance for your help,

Heather

Hi Kathie, I know how you are feeling as I am feeling the same way (you know that yaaay)... we're just next to each other on Igor's list... I wish CSC can work on our cases again...

Having known the amount of cases they received on April and May alone made me feel a little sad, I was just hoping last week that it might just take 2 more weeks for us but how can I hope for that now? ayyyy...

Heather--

Many consulates seem to like to see the tax return or transcript as a good summary of income. If you didn't file last year or show low income because you were a student for example, then you would want to show current income in another way. I'm sure what you have with the letter and pay stubs is good proof. Australia seems to be a friendly, easy consulate for approving K1s. The evidence of having a statement from a bank officer is something that doesn't happen easily. That's why providing the free tax transcripts and skipping the bank letter was my choice. I've seen people post, "My bank told me they don't do that" or "My bank said it would take 2-3 months for that research to be compiled." I did throw in my most recent bank/investment statement, but London didn't look at that. In the end, you have to pick a few things that you think best proves the income or assets you say you have on the I-134 statement.

This thread has totally changed topics.

Hey, am I the only one who noticed a massive grinding slowdown at CSC? arrrrgggggg!!!!! Does anyone know what is going on? Also, don't they update their processing times once a month? the uscis page is still displaying july 15 as the most recent update.

maybe i should not be checking igors list and uscis 20,000 times a day.

thanks for your input,

kathie

They are also dealing with CR1's, LOC's, etc................

Pay little attention to the updating. There is usually no rhyme or reason to how often they do it.

Heather, you got great advice from mama Nich but you're going to want to check with the USEM itself or maybe in the aussies thread (in regional forums) to see if tax transcripts or returns are needed at interview. Normally, at least one year is needed.

If your income meets the minimum req. then you probably will not need a bank letter. I also included some bank statements but they were not asked for when I asked the NZ Embassy what they needed/wanted from me.

OK answer to al of you people.

In April and May CSC has recieved 150,000 new I-129F.

Just to give you a clue that's not even 0.1% of people in VJ for those 2 months.

So we can all see a much longer waiting time :-(.

:(:(:(

This is very hard to fathom considering the DOS issued only about 50,000 "K" visas (K1/2/3/4) in the most recent reported year... and considering that no I-129F is needed for K2/4's the actual cases filed that completed is much less than that. So even considering a modest denial/termination rate, I cannot imaging 150,000 in a two month period at CSC.

I just talked to am USCIS represenative on the phone. I called because I received an email saying this:

"Type of service requested:

-- Non-Delivery of Other Notice

The status of this service request is:

Unable to access the file.

The case is currently with an officer."

I had no idea what that meant since I received an email on 08/06/08 saying this:

"On May 7, 2008, the post office returned your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. We will hold it for 180 days from May 7, 2008 to allow you time to contact us. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application or application for replacement with fee."

Was my file missing? Just what the !!!!!! was going on.

So I called.

It took 30 minutes finally get a human being. They asked me my case number, then asked if I had received my notice of approval. I said no, I got this other email instead. And she said that we were apporved 08/12/08 and that our case was at the NVC. (YAAYYYYY!!!!!!)

She then explained that there had been a computer glitch in which the approval notices had neither been mailed nor emailed.

So I do not know what to tell you all. Hopefully you are approved, and just do not know yet. I pray this is the case for you.

I also know that the system seems to be majorly jacked right now.

In light of the information regarding the 'computer glitch' (congratulations btw ;) ) and all the talk regarding it on other threads I thought i'd just add that this is a very common thing at the CSC. If you look over older posts you will find that this has happened more often than not in the last year alone. Many people only found they were approved when they got their noa2 hardcopy in the mail and some of those approved a long time ago still show pending on the uscis website. However, it's not something that seems to happen with Vermont.
