Got my 2 NOAs, now want CR1!!

Hi all!

I had both my NOAs (YUPIIIIII!), and now I want my CR1 (didn't know it was better when I sent I-129f...).

What to do now? Is I-824 the answer? Anybody in the same situation?

Yes, I just did the same thing.

I followed both paths. I did everything for the K3, and did everything through the NVC for the CR1.

If you do everything online with the NVC, you can be through the NVC in about a month.

They scheduled my wife's K3 interview, then the paperwork for my CR1 arrived at the embassy before the interview so they changed it from a K3 interview to a CR1 interview. So we ended up getting the interview about 6 weeks sooner than just forllowing the K3.

But if you don't want to follow both paths, just ignore everything for the K3.

7-03-08 - Sent DS-230 via FedEx.

7-03-08 - NVC recieves and enters new I-864EZ

7-07-08 - NVC receives and enters DS-230

7-16-08 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!

8-14-08 - Interview. APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!

8-19-08 - POE, Washington DC.

Both CSC and VSC seen to be forwarding both petitions to NVC at this time, so there's no need for the I-824. Lots of discussion on this here. Check them out.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

oh wow! if u wanna save a lot of money go for CR1 but if u wanna get here really fast go with k3 schedule interview as soon as possible..goodluck!

Love is an unexpected thing...and when it arrives grab it with all ur heart....it may pass u jsut once.......

Steve/Jessica - Did you have to request embassy to change the interview from K-3 to CR1? How did you find out that your CR1 papers were at the embassy? Was it that non-toll free generic number?
