doodles75,

The new I-485 fee covers I-765 and I-131 fees as well, so it's not such a big increase as you seem to think it is - as long as the person applies for those other benefits.

I get that, but I have been waiting patiently and NOT filed for AP precisely because i can't afford to do it for both myself and the kids. If I would have a really hard time coming up with that amount for all of us.

Is there a chance they now include them because of people like myself that DONT file AP and they feel they are missing out on more revenue? me thinks so.

Benefits? I will never consider my free moving and traveling as benefit, but as my human rights. And my possibility to earn my own money, not to be dependent from someone who works hard.

And what is not much for one, might seem quite a lot for other. And there is still question, why really this clerk money making machine process is so expensive? And actually this might only cause illegal immigration more, because they increase fees for I-129 and other visas too.

In some ways, I feel lucky to have gotten at least part of the way through the process before the fee increases. On the other hand, I realize all too well that if I had been in a different situation, I certainly couldn't have afforded all of this. While the new fees are still a hefty chunk of change, they aren't anything that will break the bank for me. Whatever we need to do, we'll do. It isn't as if we really have a choice in the matter.

You can apply fora finanial waiver of the fees.

More people are likely to be eligible.

"Whatever we need to do, we'll do."

This is the case. This is like holding absolute monopoly, because ordered people, who don't want to break law will fill and pay anyhow. Because only chance is illegal chance. Then why not ask for more?

Good Point , as Most do not even need the AP or EAD it is still a big Jump From what would have cost about 745.00

Now will cost 1010.00.

What are the requirements to qualify for the Fee Waiver?

Looked online and only found stuff from 2004.. Assuming they must have revised those too now for the new fee schedule

The $1010 fee includes EAD, AOS and AP along with the biometric so it is just one fee that you pay at one time.

I made the same mistake too at first

If you are sending the forms in BEFORE July 30 then the old fees apply but you need to file ALL of them before the 30th or else it does add up to more if you wait to do stuff at different times.

If you file before jULY 30 tHE FEES ARE LESS EXPENSIVE,

Also not everybody needs I-131 so if you dont need to travel outside USA prior to receiving your GC then dont worry about AP

I agree with you, it enrages me that our Govt. is bending over backwards to give ILLEGAL CRIMINAL Aliens a free pass to stay and become legal with ouit having to pay for their crimes ( stealing from IRS govt, Driving working illegally, drug trafficking, murder , & Terrorism) while law abiding intending LEGAL Immigrants have to pay fees and wait months sometime years before getting their GC.

Our govt. is giving Illegal Criminal ALien Terrorist, a free pass. It is rediculous.
