I just got an email that our fiance petition has been approved in Vermont. The processing time is still lingering around 6 months, but this only took us 2 months (I sent it in December 15). Has anyone else had a similar experience? I find it hard to believe, but am excited of course, and wanted to share the hopeful news with people still waiting...

Congratulations!

We have seen a few December filers approved. Just go to the K1 filing and progress reports board. You'll see their approved posts there.

Don't forget to update your time line!!!

Officially Engaged December 24th, 2007!!!

Moved to the U.S. to be with my baby on July 19th, 2008 on a K1 visa!!!!

Congratulations! It's such a good feeling to have the NOA2, and if you were spared a lengthy wait then so much the better.

From my understanding, Vermont historically has processed some applications at lightning-quick speed. Maybe now the fee-increase rush of last year is dying down, Vermont is speeding up again. Maybe they can teach a thing or two to California and get this process running like a well-oiled machine for everyone!! :thumbs:

17th May 08 - Got married!!!!! :)

18th June 08 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP to Chicago lockbox

3rd October 08 - Green card in hand!!

26th August 10 - Sent I-751 to VSC

31st August 10 - NOA1 from VSC

10th January 11 - I-751 approved!

14th January 11 - 10-year green card in hand!!

22nd April 23 - N400 submitted online; NOA available in USCIS account immediately
6th November 23 - Interview; approval same day
28th November 23 - Oath ceremony scheduled

26th March 2008 - NOA2 recieved via email

19th May 2008 - Interview............APPROVED!!!!!!

21st May 2008 - Visa in hand

29th July 2008 - POE

2nd September 2008 - Married

19th September - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP to Chicago lockbox

25th September - Check cashed $1010.00 (OUCH!!)

29th September - Received NOA's for AOS/EAD/AP

13th October - AOS Petition transferred to CSC!!!

17th October - Biometrics (Tampa Office)

17th October - AOS/EAD Touched

20th October - AOS Touched

21st October - AOS Touched

6th November - AOS/EAD/AP Touched (probably due to change of address)

10th December - EAD approved

28th January 2009 - GC approved without interview. Done with all this till 2011!!!!!!!!
